How do I register as an entrepreneur?

Getting Started

This article will help you create your personal entrepreneur profile, the first step in the application process. 

Your entrepreneur profile is where you can tell us about yourself, add your social media handles, and let MassChallenge know what Accelerator Programs interest you the most.

Please note: This is NOT your application.

You can get started by heading over to masschallenge.org and clicking, "APPLY NOW!".

Programs of interest

Select at least one Program of interest to receive updates about applications and key dates. You can change this selection at any time from within your personal profile.

Profile

Here's where you'll fill out information about yourself in order to complete your Entrepreneur Profile.

Once you are registered, you'll be able to create a unique profile for your Startup.

  • Please note, all fields with an asterisk (*) are required in order to register
  • You must select at least one option from the list of available Programs of Interest
  • Policy Check Boxes must be checked
Account information

Email - Enter the email you would want to use as your login and where MassChallenge will send any email communications

Password -  Create a unique password matching the following requirements

  • be meaningfully different from personal information
  • contain at least 8 characters
  • not be a commonly used password
  • not be entirely numeric

Retype password -  Re-enter the password you created

Basic information

First name - Enter your first name

Last name - Enter your last name

Phone - Enter your phone number including your area code

Profile picture - Accepted formats are.png or .jpeg, up to 2MB in size

Demographic information

MassChallenge collects demographic data for internal use so we can better support our community. Learn why

You may add, edit, or remove your data at anytime. Demographic information will not be displayed on your directory profile.

Ethno racial identification - This is not a required field. To provide your information please select the checkbox above the dropdown menu, then make your selection(s).

Gender identity - Select what you feel best represents your identity.

Birth year - Select a year

Personal communication

Twitter handle - just your handle, no @ or URL required

LinkedIn profile URL - the full URL of your LinkedIn page, including https:// or http://

Facebook profile URL - the full URL of your Facebook profile page, including https:// or http://

Website URL - the full URL of your website, including https:// or http://

Click  Register

Activation

Once you click the blue,"Register" button you will see this page, indicating that MassChallenge has sent you a registration email. Please check the inbox of the email you created your account with to continue registering your account.

When you check your email you should see an email with the subject line below.

Open the email and you will see the following text. The first link is unique to your account and will activate your account within the Accelerate platform.

Click  the first link to activate your account.

Your entrepreneur profile is now set-up within the Accelerate platform.

The next step is to create your Startup Profile.
